How to... Show What You Grow

The Show is a great chance to celebrate your garden.

Be Prepared

Tips to Displaying

Bottles & Plates

Bring your own bottles or vases to display flowers (e.g. mason jars or wine bottles work well). The EHS is not responsible for loss or damage of these items. Only a few bottles will be available.

Paper plates will be provided to display fruits and vegetables.

For small blooms (like petunias and pansies) cover a shallow bowl/pie plate with foil, fill the bowl with water, cut a hole in the foil and hang the bloom in the foil. This keeps blossoms above water, healthy and smiling for the judges.

Looking Good

Make sure everything looks its best: no pests, disease, or blemishes. Clean vegetables and fruit. Trim appropriately.
Please provide plant names (including the variety).

When the class calls for more than one item, judges like uniformity. Look for the same sizes and shapes.

End of the Show

Prizes major prizes will be presented at the Awards Ceremony; class prizes must be claimed by 3pm, Sunday; prizes not claimed by 5pm, Sunday will be forfeited
Exhibits pick up exhibits after 5pm, Sunday; exhibits left after 6pm, Sunday will be donated
