April 12. Hepatica nobilis:... is blooming right on schedule. In a few days, there will be a solid patch of blue. The new foliage shows up just in time to hide the seed pods.

April 12. Bulbocodium vernam: Bulbocodium vernam is a small bulb. The flowers show up before the foliage, and the foliage is typical for bulbs. It stays around a bit longer than that of other small bulbs.

April 12. Dutch crocuses: They have been in flower for about one week. The fact that I face south and the crocus are in the ground in front of a brick planter does help with their flowering!
