About 40 years ago, Wilf and Brigitte Maul bought an acreage west of the city. At first glance, it seemed to be the most unprepossessing lot in the sub-division. The other lots were covered in grass, but the Maul's property had only recently been cleared for a cow pasture and was still covered in stumps and debris from the felled trees.
