Volunteers can have a good time
Every year the Edmonton Horticultural Society relies heavily on volunteers to provide the services and programs that both EHS members and the Edmonton community at large have come to expect and value. Everything, from managing the Society to planting flower beds and organizing contests and plant exchanges to holding informative monthly meetings, relies on volunteer support.
But when all is said and done each year, how do we thank some 200 volunteers for their great work, commitment and generosity? With a party, of course!
And what a party it was this past March 23rd. A funny money casino offered the thrills of Vegas without the risks! And for every $10,000 won at the tables, a ticket could be purchased for great prize giveaways. Add scrumptious refreshments and good company and the evening was complete.
