Congratulations to Wally and Edna Affolder
April Volunteers of the Month

Wally and Edna Affolder are long-time EHS members who are always ready with a smile and a helping hand. For years Wally served on the Speaker Committee and was instrumental in helping the EHS attract some top-notch speakers. He also helped with Speaker Evening set-up and take-down, including running the audio-visual equipment. Both Wally and Edna have helped with our Compost Sale fundraiser and last year they graciously allowed their lovely garden to be among those on our Garden Tour. These are just a few of the contributions made by these gardeners extraordinaire, who have been known to have a Front Yards in Bloom sign in their garden most summers. Thanks for the great support Edna and Wally.

Volunteer Appreciation Evening

Thanking some 200 volunteers for their great work, generosity and commitment is nothing short of a party each year.

A funny money casino was a theme of several of the last few years, offering the thrills of Las Vegas without the risks! Every volunteer receives tickets to enter draws for great prizes. Yummy food and good company round out the evening and a good time is had by all. In 2012, the EHS hosted a five-course fine dining luncheon with a comedy show for over 100 of our volunteers.
